I created the E.S. Acheson Student Support Fund in Geography after seeing university students struggling to make ends meet. Some couldn’t afford research supplies, rent, or even food. There is one winner each year and the money can be used for anything. Need a new laptop? Wishing to buy food from a nice restaurant? Want a new video game? Go for it.
Award amount
One $500 award is given out every year in the UBC Department of Geography. Each winner can only be awarded once.
